Two years ago (January 14th of 2017) I went to San Andres
Island, a little and exotic island in Centro America, which depends of Colombia’s
direction. This small but beautiful land has an extraordinary ocean, mostly
known as “the seven blue ocean”. Also, their people, who don’t feel identified
as Colombian, are so nice and warm with foreigners, especially if you are Chilean.

| This picture isn't my, it's from internet but worth to appreciated the sea and its seven color |
I' was there for fifty days and I stayed in a Hotel at the west coast…
such a lovely place with a huge pool and so much stuff that I can’t remember.
The Hotel is called "Mar y Sol" and has 4 stars or that’s what on-line
pages said. As you can see, it's very popular but, as you know nothing is
perfect. This building has only one problem, its location is very far away from
downtown (well, I’m not talkin’ about huge city or any stuff like that) so, any
morning we had to get out very early (nearly to 6:30 a.m), has breakfast and
then, take the hotel’s bus, which left us two or three blocks down from the
main street.
For this time, I traveled with my aunt and her daugthers, my parents and
brother stayed in Chile. It was my first trip out of the country without
them I was so happy jajaja. My aunt is very weird so she made a schedule. Everyday
we had different activities, for example: we were walking from the hotel to the
east coast for two or three hours, looking at trees and houses and talking with
native people (funny story: some people, especially foreigners, asking me for
directions or best San Andres’ landscapes. They thought that I was from there ‘cause
of my skin. A little racist but I don’t blame them, this things always happen to
me), at the first moment I was like: what were we doing?, but when you saw the
beach, trees, exotic animals and stuff, the three hours that we walked was the
best time that I wasted it in my entire life.
Ah, I almost forgot. If you go to San Andres, you MUST go to Johnny Cay
and drink Crazy Coco!
